What does spiritual prosperity mean?

What if amid the turmoil we see going on in our world we could create a beautiful life? What if despite the negative reports of economic downturn we could live in a prosperous world? What if we could live in a peaceful place when all around us there is chaos? In other words, what does it truly mean to be spiritually prosperous?

Those are some of the what ifs we will explore in the Spiritual Prosperity Consciousness workshop. Sign up here.

Celebrating the birth of a book – Conversations with a Hungry Ghost: Memoir of a Reluctant Medium

There is a Chinese proverb about a red thread of fate that connects us. I felt that red thread pull me to my ancestral villages in China, and through the veil that separates most folks from the spirit world. It played such a huge part in my life even before I knew anything about anything. So, naturally, it graces the cover of my book that I just released on Amazon. I hope you’ll check it out.

Conversations with a Hungry Ghost: Memoir of a Reluctant Medium.

Through the course of writing my story, I am no longer a reluctant medium.

For more information about my book launch, appearances and, of course, a Hungry Ghost Festival, go to my Events Page.

The Political Zoo, Part 2

Bet you are wondering what I came up with in this exercise! But first, a message from our sponsor. Just kidding! No ads here, a “shout out,” but no ads.

Your responses were fascinating. Do you think that someday we can all come to the watering hole in peace?

As I mentioned, there’s more to the exercise. So, here goes:

First, breathe in deeply and breathe out. Did you know that focusing on your breath like that relaxes your body, mind and spirit? Remember the animal you imagined for Hilary Clinton. Now, from that place within you that knows unconditional love. If that’s another tough climb, just do the best you can. Most people love their spouse, their children, a pet, their parents. Whatever connects you with love, even if it seems silly to someone else. It’s your key to the door of love. From that place within you that knows unconditional love, imagine a bridge of loving light to the animal. Again, observe without judgement and begin to notice if the animal changes and how it changes. Freeze frame the image.

Now, remember the animal you imagined for Donald Trump. Now, from that place within you that knows unconditional love. Do the best you can. Think of a loving spouse, your children, a pet, parents. Whatever connects you with love, whatever unlocks the door of love for you. From that place within you that knows unconditional love, imagine a bridge of loving light to the animal. Again, observe without judgement and begin to notice if the animal changes and how it changes. Now, freeze frame the image and take a deep bre.ath in and out, feel relaxed and calm and peaceful.

I know, some of you are saying, “Well, that was silly.” I also know that others are saying, “I imagined such and such. Where did that come from?” I’d love to hear back what happened in this part of the exercise. (If you don’t like the world to see your response, then send a message to my email carolelouie@thecenter-rva.com.)

BTW The exercise works beautifully with people that you like, too.

Here’s the deal: the imagery was not just about Hillary or Donald. It’s also about what they reflect back to you. Remember, that Jungian thing. Like it or not, you were also seeing some aspect of you, but more importantly, you were sending unconditionally love to Hillary, Donald and you in the best way you know how.

In fact, in my humble opinion, that’s what this exercise, the current political scene, and life on this planet are all about. Opportunities to love. LOVE – PASS IT ON & PAY IT FORWARD.

LOVE – PASS IT ON & PAY IT FORWARD.

Here’s the shout out to another great movie for young and old.

THE CENTER – RVA

Today is a very special day – the beginning of a new chapter in my life. For over twenty-five years I have been researching reincarnation. It all started with conversations with my father’s ghost. Dad was a Chinese Buddhist, and I wondered what his beliefs in reincarnation would mean for his next life. However, like so many people, he did not know a lot about Buddhist beliefs about reincarnation.

But when the student is ready, the teacher will appear. Then, Brian Weiss, M.D., author of Many Lives Many Masters, entered my life and, like a caterpillar’s transformation into a butterfly, I began to change. Like the butterfly, whose struggle to come out of its cocoon is an important part of its process to be able to take flight in the world, I have gone through a process to prepare me for this day – the birth of THE CENTER – RVA, a center for spiritual growth.

My reincarnation research, my conversations with my father’s ghost and all the teachers who have come into my life, and putting what I have learned into practice has prepared me for this next chapter. After years of training with Sanaya Roman, Brian Weiss, M.D., and Carol Bowman, I am pleased to “move forward in the direction of my dreams.”

THE CENTER – RVA is a center without walls. It is more about a state of mind than a bricks-and-mortar place. I will offer classes, workshops and gatherings while I continue to work on the book, Conversations with a Hungry Ghost: Memoir of a Reluctant Medium, and prepare for a trip to my father’s birthplace in China with my Roots Plus group.

Last, but not least, I want to say “Thank, Mom.” I had cared for her for over a year before she left her physical body in January, and I shared with her some of my beliefs about what happens and where we go when we die. It was an experience I will always treasure. So, I was not surprised when she came to me moments after she crossed over. Like a mother bird who pushes the baby bird out of the nest, she said, “Don’t be afraid. It’s time to fly.”
